Excellent run by the Cougars winning their last 14 of 16 games including a 1st round state win over Ironwood Ridge. The run came to an end with a thrilling extra inning 6-5 loss to Peoria Liberty Tuesday. Coach Chandler and the varsity coaching staff could not be any prouder over the grit and focus the Cougars showed over the last month of the season to come back from an 0-5 start to reaching the state tournament. Nice job!

 

Varsity exit interviews will begin Friday May 4th after school. A schedule of times will be posted outside Coach Chandler's room on Thursday 5/3/12.

 

Summer baseball will begin the week after Memorial weekend. Sahuaro will enter a 17U and 15U American Legion team plus the 19U JO American Legion team. Look at the Summer ball tab at the top of the page.

 

 

Sophomores and Juniors interested in playing for the Tucson Cowboys 17U Junior Olympic team this summer needs to contact Coach Chandler ASAP. Coach Chandler and Coach Gabusi (Cienega) are heading the team. A mandatory tryout for the squad is Sunday May 20th 8:00am at Sahuaro. 

 

Chicago White Sox scout area scout Bryan Huie will be holding his 10^th annual High School Fall scout teams try out on Saturday May 19, 2012 at Pima Community College. Registration will begin at 7:30 a.m. with a 25.00 dollar try out fee. Needing 9^th to 12^th graders for our fall scout team.  For more information call Bryan at 520-850-1579
